. . . Once is enough, if you work it right . . .

[DESCRIPTION BY UNCLE RICKY]

Charlie Greer is overnight host for the early morning of the third AFL/NFL Championship, the first to be called The SuperBowl. (It was an exciting victory for The New York Jets.) Contributor & Restorian Rob Frankel is sharing a masterfully-restored aircheck that is, again, among the highest-fidelity recordings of WABC we have heard.

In addition to a bushel of rhyming spots for Dennison, A Men's Clothier, there are lots of Public Service Announcements, and a great variety of PAMS jingles. Musically, this was hits-only radio, and I only heard one surprise.

This was the overnight sound of WABC all over the east coast during the glory years of this giant Top 40 station.
