[Description by Uncle Ricky]

Paul Frees will most likely be remembered by fans of Top 40 radio as the voice of the KFRC Close Encounters promotion, or the ID voice for "the rhythm of Southern California".

Some have confused Frees with Orson Welles, but few who are unfamiliar with him would suspect that he was the voice of both Boris Badenov and The Pillsbury Dough Boy.

This demonstration tape, which was circulated in the early 1980's by The Charles Stern Agency, features Frees as Badenov, the Dough Boy, Walt Disney's Ludwig Von Drake (remember Frees from The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland?), Inspector Fenwick from Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties, and much more, including the classic CKLW Skylab Promo.

Frees was born June 22, 1920 and passed away on November 4, 1986.
