Richard Fatherley, 1958 DJ Convention Kansas CityWe will miss Richard Ward Fatherley. Funeral Mass will be on March 19 at St. Agnes Church in Roeland Park, Kansas. Write for directions to the services. Dick Fatherley was a friend of REELRADIO for over a decade, freely sharing his research and recordings. This studio recording of Richard W. Fatherley features his original paper prepared for the third K-State Great Plains Radio History Symposium in 2008, and it's all about the first-ever Disc Jockey Convention & Radio Programming Seminar. Sponsored by Storz' WHB, it was held on March 7, 8 and 9, 1958.
Jefferson Kaye, KIKX Tucson AZ October 1967 (restored)We think that this Jefferson Kaye is actually Shadoe Stevens, and not the WKBW Program Director a few years later. This was a hot radio station in 1967 and this is a nice 30-minute unscoped snapshot! Thanks to The Bob Jones Collection.
Larry Lujack, WCFL Chicago March 15, 1976 Part ThreeHere's the last hour of Top 40 on WCFL/Chicago. It's Part Three of the Three Part "Day The Music Died" - the last hour of Larry Lujack's last show on Super CFL, March 15, 1976. Thanks to The John Celarek Collection
